What do you think of Russia? What ideas soar in a head about this country?
I ask it a question only because I think - hearings and idle talks about нашеи to the country goes much enough. Myths, fairy tales and other..)) |

| Besides the toilet paper and driving in Moscow, I find nothing scary in Russia. Everyone seems really friend and pleasant if you do not trash their country. If a visitor takes time to communicate as a friend, then most Russians are willing to help. |

I agree with Paul Holmes. I find Russians to be warm and friendly people when you get to know them. This applies to Russians I met back home as well.
As soon as I was able to read cyrillic it got a lot less scary too
When it comes to the concept of 'service' though, this country still has a lot to learn. And this doesn't apply only to the railroad's ticket office |

I went to a all Russian dinner party this past weekend and had a great time. About 50 people attended and I have to say I was so glad that I went. People were from all over Russai and everyone was so friendly! Of course they all are very happy to be here in the U.S. and thier stories are amazing. Many came here with nothing and our government has helped them and now they own businesses homes and are enjoying life and the American ways. I had no idea as to the programs that our Government provides to foriegners and that they actually work. Education, housing, jobs, etc. Anyway it was a great time.
In Russia I found that once I interacted with people there that they opened up. Very friendly. Just hope that Russia bridges the gap between rich and poor. And that the level of corruption subsides. I find it amazing how people with new money are just going crazy with image and status etc. It's detrimental for sure. But I guess that's what new money does to people. |
