Hello folks,

For newly arrived expats in Moscow who are planning to be in Russia over the X-mas, New Year period would you have recommendations on what to see and do during the period? Has anyone traveled to Sochi during Dec? Is it interesting for a 4 days trip to get away from Moscow? Kamchatka and Lake Baikal seem to more suitable for a summer getaway from what I have read.

I am searching for some options for the holiday period as an alternative to watching tv!

Thanks,
