Don't worry, micky. There are plenty of vegetables and fruit in Russia. Organic produce is what you more likley to find in Russia. You will never see square watermelons or an apple sized strawberry in Russia. Everything is naturaly grown back there.

If you go to the local market, you will find everything you need: different kinds of rice, bread, spices, vegetables, fruit. But don't expect to see a vegetarian menu in local restaurants. Wink

yes you can actually taste the food there...plus you won't want to eat the meat there either...I know a few russians who were scared of it...bird flu etc.

What does bird flu have to do with meat? People in Russia get paranoid about things they don't know anything about.

BTW, every pack of poultry has this sticker:
It says," Checked. No bird flu detected"

who knows...but I've eaten some crazy foods...when I crossed the Sahara dessert...we went to this village very near the Chad Border in Niger...well we bought a goat...killed it...and then it was trown into the back of one of our trucks...2 days later when they went to prepare it...they removed the carpet it was under and a million flies flew off of the goat...I thought for sure I would get sick...whoa! Anyways I was eating it that night and it was served with cuscos and a tomatoe sauce and well I put my fork inmy bolw and pulled out a piece of the hear...Yikes-that was an experience! Rolling Eyes
