Zach...I didn't have kebapi...however, I had ajar which is a red pepper spread that the Macedonians or I should say that the whole Balkan region eats...I had that at every meal. Green peppers(skinny light green ones) they eat with every meal too. I had lots of fish dishes and I know that when I stayed in Prilep the people in that city fry everything that could be fried. I'm sure my cholesteral level was sky high when I left there. Also, I had lots of breaded and fried cheese little paddies. A bean dish called, Tavche Gravka or something like that. It was very good!
I didn't go to Kosovo or any other Balkan country. Apparently it's not safe to travel in Kosovo unless you are an Albanian. I was very close like 2 miles away from the Albanian border when I went to Struga. There were a couple of Germans that were going to lay out on the beaches (around lake Ohrid)in Albania , they said it is less crowded, however, you can't really buy anything there because it's not tourist friendly as of yet. If you visit Macedonia you have to go to Stobi an ancient city built by the Romans...it's great! Overall, I would advice people to visit Macedonia it's a friendly country and they love Americans which I found out why....Because President Bush was one of the first World leaders to recognize and verbally say that Macedonia is a country and other countries must respect its sovereign lands, thus causing Greece and Serbia to have a hissy fit over the name and territory rights.

According to my dad, Tim Horton's originally opened as a burger place on Yonge Street, then he branched out into coffee shops. Tim Horton was a Canadian man, hockey player on the Leafs and a few other teams. After he died, his wife sold the business to an American company. Yep, us Canadians love our coffee shops, Tim Horton's is # 1 or # 2. Their sandwiches were almost outselling the coffee at one time!
I heard that nicotine rumour too. I've been told it isn't true but hey, something is in that stuff to make so many people crave it! LOL

I am sure the caffeine alone is what makes people crave it. If I don't have at least a cup of coffee a day, I get a massive headache. |

Jo Jo...I wonder why I get headaches if I don't have my coffee in the morning too...How does one quite coffee without getting a massive headache? There must be a remedy out there...I have no future plans on quitting at the moment but I don't want to deal with those headaches if I decide to quit.  |

There is nothing except to wean yourself off of it. I had to drink half de-cafe and half regular to wean myself off until I went completely de-caffeniated or you can go cold turkey and deal with headaches when it first starts, which last for 3 days on and off. I got maybe 4 headaches when I went cold turkey and then it quit. I wished I never started back on coffee. You can thank all my friends and all the neat coffee shops in NY that is to hard to resist. |

I heard from a foodstuffs supplier here that they supply some chemical additives for a certain up-market coffee chain. It's what gives the coffee that distinct aroma that one associates with gourmet coffees. He refuses to name the coffee chain though... |

Gee I don't know... some painkiller and cold relief tablets put caffeine in them. Maybe the headaches stem from something else--like the lack of quality sleep--and the caffeine simply acts as a painkiller? Hmm. Recently there was a teenager who overdosed on espresso... not funny if you really think of it. |

I heard about her on the BBC. Now, did she honestly think nothing would happen to her if she drank 8 espressos in a row?
