Hi, I'm hoping that somewhere here can help me. I want to arrange shipping/mailing for about 150kg of clothing/books/personal effects from Japan to Russia. I think this will be packed in around 5 boxes and perhaps one suitcase (I could pack it all in boxes if this is necessary).
I've read on this board that the russian postal system isn't too reliable/safe and while the value of the contents isn't really that much (about 400-500USD) , I still don't want to lose my stuff or spend far more then its worth shipping it.
I'm not too concerned about the speed of shipping, if it takes a couple months that's fine.
Basically is there a safe, cheap way to send boxes to Russia from Japan (or internationally)?
I appreciate any recommendations that you can offer.

Where in Russia?
Waytorussia has a link to courier that will send stuff to Finland then walk it over to Russia, then courier within Russia. |

Hi Paul,
I'm not sure of the exact destination yet... I'm currently looking for work around the Moscow area but I haven't decided exactly where. I did check the courier service via finland (westpost), and that's one option... I wanted to see if there are any other options. Thanks for your help
