I've read that i can have severe problems if i carry a Cellular Phone (as a Nokia N95) with GPS and Wifi to Russia.

The source http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1758.html

It's a quite old warning but it's really scary. Will it be a problem?

No problem. I know plenty of Muscovites that have GPS in their phone.

Heck, I go through passport control with a portable Garmin in my carry on. No worries.

N95s are sold in every cell outlet in Russia. No problem.
