Good news for backpackers: there are a nice hotel in Rostov now! Even better news: they have private rooms for little money too. €8 for a bed/ €27 for a double room.

All is great, the only minus is the location. It is very close to the train station, but that means long walks to the city center (around 20 min). Don't be scared by that though. Rostov is a great city for walking and if you are here for one or two days the proximity to the train station might not be a bad thing.
