Dr Zhivago offers a unique combination of Soviet chic cuisine and affordable prices. Located in the very heart of Moscow, 5 minutes away from Kremlin, the restaurant named after famous novel by Boris Pasternak, welcomes guests with artworks from prominent russian artists like Malevich and Petrov-Vodkin which are incorporated in a modern interior.
The menu of Dr. Zhivago originates from Soviet classical dishes which locals know so well from their childhood. However, to each dish the chef adds unexpected refreshing detail, giving classical recipes a new delicate touch. The extensive menu features many Russian specialties like pelmeni, herring, cutlets, pickled vegetables and different caviars. On the whole, the food is pretty simple but the vibe of the place makes the dining a unique experience. Notwithstanding the central location the average bill for an intriguing trip through Russian cuisine is going to be around 4,000 rubles. It’s highly recommended to reserve a table in advance.
