Lavka Lavka Farm Organic Food Restaurant
Lavka Lavka is a farmers cooperative delivering fresh, locally produced, quality food from small farms all over Russia to Moscow. Every produce they sell has the name of the farmer on it and comes with a story, making it not only special but also traceable to the origin. Lavka has a few shops around Moscow as well as an online shop with same-day delivery (highly recommended if you want to try quality Russian specialities).
The restaurant, located in the center of Moscow near Tverskaya street, has the best Lavka has to offer. The menu changes daily and features Russian classics: from borsch and pancakes to buckwheat and gulyash. They also have vegetarian menu and huge non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks card. The price is a bit higher than average, but it's possible to have a very filling dinner for two with drinks for about €60.
The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice: rustic, yet modern feel, brick walls, lots of wood and natural materials. The light is perfect both for a romantic date or a business meeting, and there's plenty of space, so it doesn't feel crammed or loud.
We highly recommend Lavka Lavka restaurant if you would like to try Russian specialities, just make sure that you book your table beforehand (online or over the phone), because it may get busy towards 8-9pm. Most of the waiters speak English and there's always lots of foreigners and expats so you will not have a problem getting a recommendation.
