It’s difficult to find a hotel that would cost less than €50 per night for a double room in St. Petersburg. However, this hotel at Vasilyevsky Island delivers just that.
While the rooms are pretty basic, they are quite good and clean. The area is also interesting – kind of central, but off the main tourist trail.

You might have a problem getting to Nevsky Prospekt during the night when the bridges open, but once you get hold of the schedule it should all be fine.
