Mayak Bar

Rymochnaya Mayak is a drinking place where you can have vodka for as low as 40 R (€1) a shot. They keep the Soviet-style interior and the waiters are grim moody middle-aged women, but that only adds to the experience. It’s also possible to eat for about €5 there: among their specialities are the eggs with red caviar (less than €1). The crowds are mainly local intelligentsia alcoholics, students and occasional tourists.
