Hermitage Museum

An amazing museum that almost acts as an archive for world’s history. If you have seen Sokurov’s “Russian Arc”, which was filmed in one shot at Hermitage, you will understand. Definitely worth a few visits as it’s almost impossible to cover even a half of the whole exposition in one go. If you only have a short time, go to the Benua building where the Russian avant-garde artists such as Malevich, Tatlin, Filonov, Mashkov, Rodchenko are exhibited. Open daily 10.30 - 18.00.
