Staying for 180 days/3 years on Tourist Visa?

0 votes
Hello,
I
am a US citizen who has been to Russia several times before (all but once on student visas). I would like to apply for a 3 year multi-entry visa. I would like to be able to stay for up to 180 days at a time.

First, is it possible to stay for longer than 90 days each trip on a Tourist visa?

Second, should I list 180 days or 3 years as dates of entry/exit?

Thanks very much!

You put the max available time (30 days in the support letter form) and then specify a 3-year long period in your actual visa application form that you submit to the consulate with the visa support letter. The rule is that you cannot stay longer than 6 months in a year period.
