Can Macedonian citizens pass the Russian border only with an invitation letter ordered online?

Hi guys, I come from Macedonia and it says it's on the list of countries whose citizens can pass the Russian border only with invitation letter.
*So can I enter Russia only with the invitation letter without going to a Russian embassy before? --*And I will be staying in a dormitory, not hotel, will I need to book a hotel prior to arrival in Russia?
*If I do need to get a visa from an embassy can I go in an embassy outside of my country, let's say in Bulgaria?
*And if yes, how long does the process take?
