staying less than 5 days in Moscow needs registering or not?

Hi
I am writing to say that I have a Russian tourist visa and want to visit Moscow in less than 5 days. During my stay, I want to be in my friend’s university camp and don’t reserve the hotel. The thing that really makes me nervous is registering. I’ve been heard that for stay less than 5 days there is no need to register but I am not totally sure about. I’d appreciate you if you could ask my question or at least give me the source (foreign office of Moscow) to ask my question?
Best regard,
Mona

Don't be nervous, as you don't have to register your visa if you're staying in Russia less than 7 days.
