Visa registration in Russia

Hello,

I'd like to ask if it is necessary to register my visa if I stay in St. Petersburg for 6 nights and then I'm going to Moscow for 4 nights by plane from St. Petersburg.

Thank you for your reply.

You need to register it because the total of your stay is more than 7 working days, so yes, register it in St. Petersburg. Either through the agency or at the hotel direct.

But I received this answer from 2 different travel companies for Russia - The registration is not required if you are going to spend less than 7 working days in one city of Russia. You are not obliged to register your visa, just keep all your travel tickets.
