Why are Russian Business Visas SO expensive for UK Citizens?

+1 vote
I am currently planning a return trip on the Trans-Siberian railway to Asia and back. As I will be entering Russia twice over a 6 month period, I will require a multiple entry business visa. However this visa is vastly more expensive for UK Citizens (£200 standard service) compared to £30 for most other EU countries. Do you know why this is and asides from getting a transit visa on the return leg (I'd prefer not to have to spend so much time on a train in one go), do you know of anyways around having to fork out so much money? Many thanks

Hey I don't why they charge so much. Probably reciprocal agreement? I know that a long-term UK visa also costs about €400 for Russians, so they're probably trying to make a point this way.
