How long will it take for the original Russian visa invitation to be posted to me in Australia? and at what cost?

The Russian Embassy in Canberra requests the original business visa invitation.

How long will it take for the original to reach me by post from the day I order?

Is there an additional cost for postage?

Many thanks,
Eddie

Don't you want to try telex instead?

The price of sending it by courier post should be about $100 and will take only a few days. A standard post is much cheaper (like $5?) but it might take months, so I would advise against it.

I'd say try to apply with a copy first. Even if they say the need an original, you can always say that it takes too long for it to arrive so please could they try with a copy... there are real people working at the consulates and more often than not they actually do help :)
