I think you are not allowed to travel out of Australia at the moment, but if you do manage, you would need to go on a quarantine in UK for 14 days and then when you come to Russia you can make a test within 48 hours and if the result is negative (and you upload it online) then you don't have to quarantine. Otherwise you have to quarantine also in Russia for 14 days.

Yes, if your girlfriend travels to Russia from Greece, she has to be on a quarantine for 14 days when she comes back to Russia. However, she can make a Covid test within 48 hours and if she uploads the negative results on a government portal, she doesn't have to quarantine then.

I'd recommend to buy your tickets using the passport you will use when you fly OUT — that's what's gonna be checked by the airline. If you just use your Russian passport to get into Russia, you don't need it for the tickets. However, when you fly out of Russia you can show your foreign passport you bought the tickets for and that should work.

I have a lifelong love of Russia, it's people, culture and language, and am at a point where I want to "reboot" my life and career there. I have been to the USSR/Russia three times, in 1975, 2008 and 2012. I am 59 years old and a US citizen. My background is in information technology and management, but I am by no means limiting my search to those areas. I would be perfectly happy doing any kind of work to support myself. My command of the Russian language is rusty, but during recent trips has been adequate (one of my college majors was in the Russian language).

I am looking for a mentor / coach / friend to advise and assist me in the process of finding employment and housing in Russia. I have no particular preference for which area of Russia I end up in, but I do have a fondness for Siberia, natural and remote areas.

I am a french student who's been staying in novosibirsk for about 4 month now. Soon I will have a 3 weeks vacation before the end of my visa and I would like to spend a few days (up to a week) in Altai, hiking.
Now I am a quite experienced mountain hiker so I am aware of all the safety issues and precautions ( which I research).
My problem at the moment is I can't really find good hikes to undertake on the internet. Bearing in mind, I am only researching english written website as my russian is still very limited.
So the question is : How can I find good hike tracks and maps so i can go backpacking for a few days in altai this summer? Or can you advise some to me ?
Anyway, I would welcome any advice!

Shamans are actually very rare and usually are not willing to communicate with people from other cultures (which is quite understandable since many people coming from big cities look at them like at zoo exhibits). Yet, there are some left, mainly in Altai and Tuva. Most of Altai shamans do not work with tambourines any more (they were banned a long time ago and never fully came back) so don't expect exotic dancing with them around open fire:)). Most work with throat (overtone) singing, and it depends on a person listening if they experience it spiritually or not.
Cliff carving are much easier to find, there are many of them in Altai (as well as stone stellas). If you are interested I can give you the exact location.

You can always buy it in specialized travel maps bookshops once you arrive to Russia, but I found the online high resolution ones for you (they are in Russian though) here: http://www.kolamap.ru/topo/mrsk_1x2.htm
