Russian Visa Invitation for Multiple Entry Visa

+1 vote
I would like to apply for the 36 month multiple entry visa for U.S. citizens.  I'm interested in using your visa invitation service, but I have three questions first:
1.  In the drop-down menu for visa type, there are only options for Single or Dual entry visas.  Which should I select if I am applying for a Multi Entry?
2.  I am applying for this visa so that I have less time restrictions on entering Russia (I'm travelling by land from SE Asia and won't be there for several months).  How long will this invitation be valid for, and does it only need to be valid for the time period during which I apply for the visa?
3.  Can I get away with just booking a train/flight out of Russia and enter by land (and exit by land)?

You should be able to get this visa with a simple tourist invitation normally, but it depends on the consulate and on their mood. If it's the first time you're getting a Russian visa, it may be a bit difficult to get the long-term 3-year one. And yes you can travel in and out how you want.
