Moscow House of Artist (Tsentralny Dom Khudozhnika) has a very good collection of modern Russian art from the early 20th century. They also occasionally have good temporary exposition and feature music concerts that are not very interesting. The Moscow House of Artist is located just opposite of the Gorky park. Combine your visit with going for a walk there and checking up on what is going on in Garage Gallery, which is located inside the park.  Open 8.00 to 20.00 Tue-Sun.
